Bacon and eggs
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Bacon and eggs is a tasty kiwi favourite. Choose lean bacon with little visible fat.
Cooking directions
For 3 to 4 serves of scrambled eggs:
- In a saucepan or non-stick fry pan, beat together 6 eggs, ½ cup milk and a little pepper.
- Cook over medium heat.
- As egg starts to set, gently stir. The trick with scrambled eggs is to cook them slowly and to stir often so the eggs don’t stick to bottom of the pan.
Bacon:
- Spray a non-stick fry pan with a little oil. Heat over high heat until pan is hot, but not smoking. Cook bacon until crispy.
To serve:
- Arrange scrambled eggs, bacon and wholegrain toast on plates and serve while hot.
